INT - HOTEL ROOM - EARLY AFTERNOON

The husband walks into the hotel room, carrying two pieces of luggage.

HUSBAND:

Hmmm. I think I should inform my wife that I reached the hotel.

He takes out his laptop and goes onto gmail. He starts composing an email and presses 'SEND'. The date is shown on the top right corner of the laptop screen. At the recipient’s address, a letter is mis-typed.

HUSBAND:
There! Now she will know. I hope she reaches here soon tomorrow.

An elderly woman, surrounded by used tissues, is holding a picture of an old man, with the date of birth and death written above, crying.

ELDERLY WOMAN:
Oh Harold...

There is a beep from her computer, and a notification pops out. It is revealed to be an email.

ELDERLY WOMAN:

What’s this? An e-mail? Who could it be?

The elderly women clicks and opens the email. Upon reading it, she opens her mouth in shock and starts to sway, before eventually fainting with a thump.

INT - LIVING ROOM - LATE AFTERNOON

The elderly woman’s family members;her son, daughter in law and granddaughter, are sitting in the living room. A loud thump could be heard.

DAUGHTER IN LAW:

(confused)
Did you hear that?

SON:
(curious)
It is coming from upstairs.

GRANDDAUGHTER:
That’s where Grandma is!

They jump out of the sofa and rush upstairs.

INT - DARK BEDROOM - LATE AFTERNOON
The son, granddaughter and daughter-in-law opens the door to find the elderly woman lying unconscious on the floor.

                              SON:
                            (shocked)
                             Mother!

He rushes up to lift his mother up while his daughter looks at the computer screen and nudges her mother.

GRANDDAUGHTER:
I think you should look at this.

The granddaughter points at the computer screen.

The son looks at the computer screen and his eyes widen. On the computer, the e-mail reads: Dearest Wife, I just checked in. Everything is prepared for your arrival tomorrow. P.S Sure is hot down there.

All the family members stare in shock.
