  2. 1. These letters are necessary when you are trying to communicate a message to someone you do not personally know or is of higher authority than you depending on the context. They are necessary to show your sincerity and to be more polite.
    2. It has changed the way we communicate: through emails, posts, comments, chats, messages, phone calls, etc. The fast paced world of today and the simplicity and crudeness of a click of a button to call or email somebody has made us more lazy to write proper letters through the different technological methods as any missing information can be easily added as another comment or message, making us feel very relaxed and normal when sending something and therefore the content of the letter also diminishes as times go by, with things such as emoticons and short form words and even spelling errors coming up in almost all the messages we upload everyday, a serious mistake our would have previous generation would have considered if you sent a letter in their time with such poor quality.
    3. Yes, there could be such a thing. It can be very possible in the business world of today as sending a letter would take a lot longer for the recipient, namely your boss, to receive it while with such technological advancements such as email’s can greatly speed up the receiving process, allowing your boss to consent or deny your proposal as quickly as possible. But, one must remember that you are writing to your boss, and he has the ability to kick you out of the company if he deems you disrespectful to him or your proposal full of loopholes because of your sloppy writing, so the same amount of effort can be placed into writing a formal email as a formal letter and even better, get your reply quickly. You don’t even need to know your boss’s address to write a letter to him.
